Randomness

This folder feels lonely, so I will give it a topic. This is a piece of prose that people have told me is amusing. It is not at all factual, but is far from fiction, as these are ideas that spewed out of my head without characters to help them turn into a plot. Now, some of you may have read it on goodreads, and some may not. Either way, it may give you a laugh.


Why does this world hate so many so? Or seem to, anyways?


I certainly don't know the answer. And I think that half the people who say that wallow far too much in self pity.


Nobody likes people who are obsessed with themselves. Therefore,
nobody likes people who wallow in self-pity. Which induces more self
pity. Quite a vicious cycle, if you ask me.


But you probably aren't asking me. You may not even be asking
yourself, though when there is a question, you should ask yourself first before anyone else. You may know the answer even.


Now, I'm not really talking about questions related to school,
though this concept could be applied. I'm talking about questions that
deal with everyday life. Should I do that? When was the last time I
played in the park on slides and swings and monkey bars? Would I be
willing to find out exactly how many licks it takes to get the the
center of a tootsie pop? What is the meaning of life?


Okay, maybe you can't answer that last one. I bet you'd have a better chance if I changed it a bit though.


What is the meaning of your life?


Think about it. Nobody else can answer. Everybody's life has a
different meaning. Everybody's life has a different purpose. I believe
that I am here to read and soak up knowledge and spin tales to
entertain anyone who cares to read them.


Your life is probably different. Maybe you r purpose is to oh, lets
say, keep track of people's money. Or maybe your here to design a new
video game.

I don't know what your purpose is though. Just you.


And though people say I'm smart there is a whole lot that I don't know.


Most likely, I don't know your name. Maybe I do. Buy I probably
don't. I don't know what the c in E=mc^2 means. I wanted to know that
for years. I do not know how to write a query letter, though the
information will be useful in my future. I don't know how to land a
roundoff without falling over.


n fact, I know so little that if (key word here. IF) I chose to wallow in self pity, I would ask, WHY DOES THE WORLD HATE ME SO?

hmm ... what is my meaning of life? I ... well ... hmm ... I really don't know. My first thought was to make other people happy, but that would make people think that I'd sacrifice my happiness for the happiness of others. While this is true, I'd be making myself happy by watching the happiness of others grow.

I see myself as a pessimistic person, but I try to jump over those puddles of self-pity. So, these thoughts broaden my horizons, allowing me access to new ideas and new sights—new information, even!

This is a great topic, so I would like to ask you if it's all right if I make this a sticky?
